What was the highlight of Hard Rock Hotel Maldives
I can only recommend this to families with kids who want alternative places for eating everyday.
2 open buffet restaurants for breakfasts. So many restaurants for dinner including kids with no payment if the kids select items from the kids menu: this is really very positive for famillies with kids. 2 big islands and marina. only 15 mins from the airport to the hotel with speed boat. Free bicycles. Good fitness saloon.
Staff quality is not at the same level as the physical facilities level. Sometimes the reception / house keeping does not answer phones. Poor English communication levels nearly in all of the employees we met. Our villa was on the sea. There were 2-3 big stingrays and small sharks every day. We could not swim in front of our room, which was actually the main plan. We had to use the central beach of the island for swimming. Bicycles need repairment.

Hard Rock Hotel Maldives is Paradise surrounded by harmonious people
We love Maldives in general but Hard Rock tops it all. Located near Male, 15-20 minutes boat ride, perfect facilities, pools, bars, restaurants, rooms and the best personnel-from cleaning staff up to the management, all trying to make your stay memorable. I loved the “little things” everyone is doing, things that are definitely not part of their job description, all from their desire to make you happy, going above and beyond expectations. Our favorite employee, on each of our visits to Hard Rock hotel-Oggy-from Sessions Restaurant. We feel him as part of our family. Oggy should continue growing within Hard Rock family- he is an absolute exemplary hospitality representative. Oggy is kind, friendly, funny and exceptional. He made us feel special every single day of our visit this time around but also 2 years ago, on our previous visit. Thank you Oggy-we love you, Thank you Hard Rock staff! You are all AWESOME!!!

Highly recommended for a true Maldivas experience with plenty of music and fun
Very friendly and efficient service across the board. Excellent entertainment. Well maintained facilities. Architecture and layout of complex is fitting with the environment and ergonomic.
The fleet of guest bikes needs upgrading/renovation and it would be a good idea to have locks on all bikes. Smoother management of overlapping/multiple bookings where we had made direct and Booking.com reservations.

Beautiful island resort, staff so accommodating, incredible wildlife, paradise destination
9.5/ 10. Absolutely stunning hotel, landscape and wildlife. We stayed in the Platinum Overwater Vila for my Mum's 60th birthday and it was like it was taken straight from a postcard. - The villa was beautiful and spacious, very modern and clean. - The view from outside overlooked a private beach and we could see stingrays, sharks and fish in the water below us and herons and bats flying accross all from our balcony. The water is shallow enough to walk through and the bluest I've ever seen. - The staff were amazing too - always so friendly and accommodating and would do anything to help. - Buggy service is actually okay (from reviews we read before going this seemed like it would be a problem) but if you call in advance and book they're always near enough on time, there are buggy stops all around the islands and the longest we had to wait was 15 minutes.
- The price of food for lunch and dinner is expensive. For two of us we were spending $100 at lunch and $150 at dinner every day (between the 14 different restaurants), and for what the food was we don't believe the price reflected this. - There is no price list for the mini bar so we assumed it was included. Found out later the price list is on the TV but you have to scroll through and find it. This should be a printed list on top of the mini bar so there is no confusion, we don't watch TV and it was lucky we turned it on and found the prices. - We were quoted $250 for a boat trip to Malé and snorkelling for an hour was around $130pp. We found the majority of things to be very expensive.
